Landscape Lighting in Navesink Area, Middletown
Project Details
About This Project
The owners of a stately colonial in the Navesink area of Middletown wanted to enhance their property's curb appeal and improve safety along their curved flagstone walkway and driveway. They envisioned a warm, inviting glow that would showcase mature oaks and stonework without overpowering the natural landscape.
JLC Electrical Contractors LLC designed a comprehensive low-voltage LED landscape lighting system featuring brass path lights along the walkway, adjustable spotlights uplighting three specimen oak trees, and accent wash lights highlighting the stone retaining walls flanking the front entrance. All fixtures are commercial-grade LED with a warm 2700K color temperature and connect to a smart transformer with astronomical timer and dimming control.
The system draws just 280 watts total yet transforms the property after dark. Neighbors have commented on how much the lighting adds to the streetscape, and the homeowners appreciate the added security of a well-lit perimeter. Maintenance is minimal thanks to LED longevity rated at over 40,000 hours.
