About Us

Electrical Contractor Team in Wall Township, NJ

In 2007, Mike Boeke left a steady paycheck to start his own electrical company in Monmouth County. After 40 years in the trade, he wanted two things: to do right by customers and to be home for dinner with his family. That decision built a business that still runs on both principles today.

President & CEO

Mike Boeke

Mike has been pulling wire and solving electrical problems for more than 40 years. He started JLC Electrical Contractors LLC in 2007 because he believed homeowners deserved an electrician who showed up on time, quoted honest prices, and stood behind the work after the invoice was paid.

Before launching JLC Electrical Contractors LLC, Boeke spent 17 years in the elevator industry, working his way from union apprentice to mechanic to foreman. He later pursued his electrical license while building the company nights and weekends out of his garage–laying the foundation for what would become one of New Jersey’s most trusted electrical firms. The company name, JLC Electrical Contractors LLC, represents Boeke’s family—his daughters and wife—reflecting the personal commitment behind every project. The company operates across three core divisions: residential services, commercial electrical contracting, and a specialized generator division supporting both homeowners and critical business infrastructure. On the commercial side, JLC Electrical Contractors LLC has completed complex, large-scale electrical projects including warehouse facilities, cold storage environments, and ground-up developments across New Jersey. Much of JLC Electrical Contractors LLC’s growth has been driven by word-of-mouth referrals—a direct reflection of its commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction. This commitment extends internally as well, with a highly trained team, many of whom have been promoted from within, and a strong emphasis on safety, training, and consistency across every job site. JLC Electrical Contractors LLC’s generator solutions also play a critical role in protecting homes and businesses from power outages—helping prevent costly disruptions and, in some cases, supporting essential medical and operational needs.Built on a foundation of integrity, hard work, and family values, the company continues to grow through long-term customer relationships, skilled team members, and a reputation for getting the job done right—no matter the conditions.

Lauren Boeke

Lauren joined JLC Electrical Contractors LLC in 2026 after a career at Macy's Corporate in New York City. She brought operational discipline and a fresh perspective to scheduling, customer communication, and the day-to-day systems that keep jobs running on time.

As Mike's daughter, she also brought something harder to hire for: she cares about this company the way only family can.

The JLC Electrical Contractors LLC Difference

Why Homeowners Choose JLC Electrical Contractors LLC

Owner Involvement on Every Project

Mike reviews every estimate and inspects completed work himself. That is not a slogan on a truck — it is how a company with a 95% close rate earned that number over 19 years.

Licensed for Residential and Commercial

NJ Electrical License #34EI01612000 covers everything from a 200-amp panel swap in your kitchen to a standby generator for a commercial warehouse. The same crew that wires new construction in Spring Lake handles fit-outs for national retailers.

Honest Pricing, No Overselling

Multiple customers have said the same thing unprompted: JLC Electrical Contractors LLC suggested cutting unnecessary work from the scope rather than padding the bill. When your business runs on referrals in a county this tight-knit, that reputation is worth more than any upsell.

Rooted in Monmouth County

JLC Electrical Contractors LLC is proudly rooted in Monmouth County. Mike lives in Colts Neck, and our office is located in Wall Township. While our crews perform work throughout New Jersey—from the Jersey Shore to the Prudential Center in Newark—we remain a family-owned business built on relationships, trust, and accountability. When a nor'easter knocks out power or an electrical emergency arises, you're not calling a franchise or a national call center. When you call JLC Electrical Contractors LLC, a real person answers the phone. No automated systems, no out-of-state dispatchers—just a local team that genuinely cares about its customers. We believe in building long-term relationships, not just completing projects. Our customers know they can reach us when they need us, and that's something we're proud of. At JLC Electrical Contractors LLC, we're your neighbors, and we're committed to providing the level of service and personal attention that only a family-owned business can deliver.

“JLC Electrical Contractors LLC installed my whole house Generac generator about 3 years ago and it has worked FLAWLESSLY. Oddly enough, this weekend there was a problem with the electrical service to my house that had nothing to do with the generator. Because there was only a partial outage, I did not understand the necessary adjustments to make to the generator. So, on a SUNDAY morning, I sent a text to the owner, MIKE, and he called me back at 8am and came to my house to problem solve the issue. He SUCCESSFULLY diagnosed the issue that needed to be addressed with JCPL. He spoke with JCPL on my behalf and they showed up shortly thereafter. I can't say enough about how much I appreciated Mike coming to my home on a Sunday morning and following up with me later in the day to make sure everything was going well. I could not give a higher recommendation to a contractor who actually comes through in a pinch.”
